Lakeview Baptist Church believes our children are a vital part of our church family and our community. Therefore we provide various opportunities for their spiritual growth in our worship and fellowship life.
Our Children's Sunday School ministry provides the study of God's Word through written materials as well as age-appropriate activities. Our goal is to enable our children to respond at the appropriate time when the Holy Spirit speaks to them about accepting Christ.
Summer Camp
Our children have grown in their faith and personal walk with Christ as they have enjoyed a camp each summer. The facilities of Camp Victory have been used for four years, but the Shocco Springs Conference Center has also been used for camps and retreats.
Childrens' Musicals
The children have learned and presented several musicals to our community. Their last production was "Go Go Jonah." Each musical has been received with a warm reception from the church family.
Mission Involvement
Each year our children go into local retirement homes and nursing facilities to present the love of Jesus to those who may be lonely and need encouragement.
Vacation Bible School
V.B.S. is an annual event for all children, and this year our Vacation Bible School was scheduled for June 16-20, 2008. All activities were scheduled for the evening beginning with a light meal at 5:00 PM. The V.B.S. Rally was held each evening, begining at 5:45 PM each evening. Our V.B.S. conclude on Sunday, June 22, 2008 as the children presented a musical. We thank everyone for attending, teaching, helping, and even observing as each of you made the 2008 VBS a most memoriable event.
